About the Citrus Vision Grading & Waxing Plant.
The OG 5000 is a complete, integrated fruit processing solution designed for citrus handling at 5 TPH capacity. The system incorporates washing, brushing, food-grade waxing, drying, and vision-based grading into a single continuous processing line.
The process begins with manual or bin-tip feeding onto an infeed conveyor with controlled singulation. Fruits pass through a stainless steel washing section with high-efficiency spray nozzles, then a brushing section with multiple cylindrical rotary brushes (soft nylon and horse hair) synchronized with conveyor speed. After rinsing, sponge rollers and air knives remove surface water before wax application.
The precision wax application uses food-grade citrus waxes with controlled dosage for a thin, uniform coating that enhances visual appeal, reduces moisture loss, and extends shelf life. Fruits then pass through an insulated drying tunnel (35-45°C, 60-120 seconds) with forced recirculated airflow and zoned heating.
The heart of the system is the OG 5000 Vision Grading Machine, advanced computer vision with multiple high-resolution industrial cameras that measure diameter (±1mm), colour, shape, maturity, and external defects in real time. Fruits are automatically sorted into multiple grades for export and domestic markets.
