About the Egg Candling Machine.
The MEC-150 is a 6-lane egg candling machine used in egg processing to inspect and evaluate the quality of eggs. The machine uses LED lights to reveal the internal contents of the egg, allowing operators to assess whether each egg is suitable for sale or consumption.
The main purpose of candling is to check for defects such as cracks, blood spots, or other internal irregularities, and to grade eggs for quality. In the MEC-150, the process is carried out simultaneously on six lanes, dramatically increasing inspection throughput.
Eggs are placed on the lanes and travel through an oriental unit into one egg per lane continuously. Bright LED light shines through each egg for full inspection while the egg is rotated. The operator or automated system inspects eggs for cracks, blood spots, air cell size, and other internal defects. Defected eggs are sorted and removed separately while good eggs move into the output lane with an egg counter.
